15 ways Starting a business Payes
So what's stopping you? Maybe you aren't sure of what you want to do. There's lots of ideas on the internet, just do a search for some. Maybe you can't afford to just quit your job and startup a business. I wouldn't recommend you do that anyway; instead try to start something on the side and work on it in your spare time until you get it going to where you can quit your job.
Or maybe you are afraid that it is just too expensive to start a business from home and work online or for yourself.
That is why I present to you a list of 15 ways it pays to work for yourself. Having a job and working for someone else gives you expenses that you may not even consider.
So, in no particular order, here are 15 ways you can save money by working for yourself:
1. Save money on work clothes - no more expensive suits, shoes, ties, pants, etc
2. Save money on lunches - when you spend $5 per day on lunch, that is $100 a month you are spending.
3. Gas - how much time are you in the car driving to work or out and about if you have a job that puts you on the road a lot?
4. Association fees - some jobs require their employees to maintain association memberships
5. Union dues - Same as # 4
6. Desk rental fees - Can you believe some jobs actually require their employees to pay for the privilege of having a desk at the office? Realtors, insurance agents to name a few.
7. Car maintenance - if the job you have requires a long commute, you car will need more maintenance?
8. Lunches with clients - this will certainly cost you more than $5 a meal, and not everyone has a corporate expense account or gets reimbursed
9. Office gift giving - how many times have you had to pitch in to by the boss a gift, the secretary a gift, someone who is having a birthday a gift?
10. Pay yourself - how much more money could you make if you kept all the profits yourself? If you are in sales, you are making money for someone else when you could be keeping all the profits for yourself
11. Professional upkeep - for personal maintenance, things such as hair, nails, etc. Sure, those might be things you'd do anyway, but maybe not as often
12. Lost time during commutes - in some places it is not unheard of for a worker to commute 1 hour one-way to work - one way! If you spent just 2 hours driving to work and back each day, that's 40 hours in one month, or the equivalent of one full week of work! Know what, that's time you lose and you don't get paid for it. Do you think that's worth something?
13. Cell phone bills - see #12 above...what are you doing during that long commute? Talking on the cell phone?
14. Overnight stays - some jobs keep you on the road, or require you to attend out of town training. Not all jobs reimburse for that as well.
15. And one of the biggest ways you can save money - tax write-offs! When you start an business from home and work for yourself, you will have several tax deductions you can take.
This is definitely not a complete list, but just a little something to get you thinking. There are ways you can start a website making money online for very little to no cost. There are low-cost franchises you can check into. You could even take a look at what it would take to do what you are doing right now, but as an independent contractor or out on your own.
It is a good idea to start looking now. Put a plan together, work on it in your spare time and build it up to the day when you can finally have your business from home, work for yourself and enjoy the rewards of being your own boss!

For those marketers wanting more website traffic, and let's face it who wouldn't, the joint venture or JV sounds appealing. JVs do indeed work to bring traffic, but it's worth noting the difference between an affiliate and a joint venture partner...
Many people who have not done a joint venture before think that it involves you striking a deal with someone that has a large customer base, them emailing those customers about your product, which brings loads of traffic to your website, and you splitting the sales figures. Foe more details go to www.joint-ventures-secret.com .Wrong. That isn't how it works, and approaching potential partners with that kind of proposition will put people off as it shows you have not understood the concept.
Many people just fire off a few emails to big names in the marketing industry, and then simply give up when they get the inevitable lack of response.
Some people may well mail their list about your product, and take commission from any sales, but that makes them an affiliate.
Anyone can do this with your product if it is available via affiliate marketplaces like clickbank. They haven't actually done a deal with you, or acted jointly with you.
Offering someone an increased commission just for them is a good way to increase your affiliate traffic and sales, yes, but that does not make it a joint venture either!
It simply means you are using the sound technique of searching out so called 'super affiliates' who have big lists of prospects that may be interested in your product.
So that's what affiliate selling is as opposed to a JV, so what does constitute a JV?
A joint venture is when two or more people agree to be involved together on a project from start to finish. They may create the product together, they may divide the product creation and marketing, maybe someone has detailed knowledge about a narrow niche, and the other partner can generate traffic in that niche.
This is the real value of joint ventures, combining peoples' talents to create a project that benefits each member of the JV, plus of course the customers.
The person with the knowledge gets to make money from that knowledge just by passing it on with others doing the leg work.
The marketer get to tap into a profitable niche and make handsome sales.
The customer gets to learn new knowledge, which they happily pay for Now *that's* a joint venture! For more details go to www.joint-venture-softwares.com .If you are looking at JVs, then you will probably either have to create a new product with your partner, or redo your existing one to make them fully involved.
Proposing a JV can be as simple as sending an email, but it should never be approached that simply. You need to research the potential partner, to understand why they would want to JV with you, so you can tailor your proposal to appeal to them.
Not quite as easy as it may first seem, but not necessarily that hard either, a properly done JV can indeed bring a whole lot more website traffic for you.
